Andrew Treverton is the vicar of St John the Baptist church in Thame, Oxfordshire and he has a busy day ahead of him. Not only does he have to bless the home of a newly-married couple and deal with Roy, but he really must learn to play ‘Stairway to heaven’ on the church organ.
Documentary-maker Roy Mallard makes fly-on-the-wall films about Britains unsung professionals - ‘people like us’. The fact that he’s not too sensitive to the mood of the people he interviews, is linguistically challenged and struggles to blend into the background mean he more often that not, brings out the more ridiculous aspects of his subjects’ character.
